The Spaceguard Centre UK

The Spaceguard Centre is a working astronomical observatory in a stunning location above Knighton in the Welsh Marches. Asteroids hit the Earth more often then people would like to believe, and the Spaceguard Centre offers people the opportunity for to come and visit to find out about the possibility of a real “Deep Impact”, and what we can do to prevent one. With fascinating exhibits such as meteorites, samples from impact craters and telescopes the Spaceguard Centre is a truly fascinating place to visit. Recently we became the official UK National Near Earth Objects Information Centre, and we are installing the largest telescope in Wales.
